Every Saturday night my MIL, SIL Hubby and I get together to play cards. We have a blast playing Shanghai Rummy. We were keeping score on scrap paper but since we are all so competitive – well at least my Hubby and SIL are – I made an altered journal for us to keep our scores in.
I didn’t have spare cards so I made my own using a Studio G stamp set and cover a composition book. We are now serious gamers.
This weeks challenge was hosted by Jessie F. She provided us with a sketch.
And here is the cute card I made from a card kit I received from a swap. Thanks 5treasures for the great kit.
Here is a new layout using the November Scrappers Guide Premier Kit. I love there kits and you get soooooooooooo much in the kits to use.

This weeks challenge is hosted by RDH and the challenge was to make a card White with one other color.
The colors I chose were white with black. I used the snowflake cuttlebug folder to emboss the black card stock. Whisper white ribbon from Stampin Up, Fiskers edge punch and a stamped image I received from a swap. To add a little sparkle to the card I used Diamond Stickles.
This is my first CardPatterns sketch. They have a great site and I love there sketches. I decided to do this weeks sketch 39:

I went for a 6×6 pale blue card base, blue handmade paper, cream card stock, Snowflakes Cuttlebug folder, blue ribbon, white snowflake embellishment.
I love using foam adhesive to make things pop on my cards. Here’s a close up:
Stamping 411′s SSC123 challenge this week is:

I had fun putting this Birthday Card together. I love purple and butterflies. It’s a simple but beautiful card.
I used a tan card base, purple sparkle card stock, Top Note die cut in half, ribbon and a paint chip Butterfly.
Today I tried Techno Stampers – Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge. Here’s the sketch:

I really like how my card came out. I used a 6×6 lilac card base, added some white card stock, packing foam, butterflies cut from paint chip samples and this is what happens…
Don’t forget to carry the design inside the card!!!

Today’s projects are birthday cards for Youth – keeping it young and fun. I also wanted to use minimal supplies – take a look at what I used:
White base cardstock, black and red accent papers, cream “Top Note” centers, various stamps and Tim Holtz Grungeboard – Harlequin Elements.
Here are my creations:
I recently read some Do’s and Don’t of cardmaking…One of the top items was “Don’t forget to carry your design to the inside of the card”. It doesn’t have to be fancy you just need to add a little something to the inside.
