My days off are coming to a close and I have to go back to work Wednesday. I like my job but wish crafting was it. I have to say though I work in construction and it’s kinda like crafting…putting all the pieces together makes for a perfect project.
Have a great New Year’s Eve and I will see you all in 2008.

Today, I am going to be working on products for my shop. I plan on making some cute mini albums, card packs and clipboards. Below are some examples of the possibilities you might see in the shop. Check back soon.

A great gift can be made of a few simple things. An altered composition book personalize with a photo, a beaded pen to match and a neckless made from shrinky dinks.

I’m hooked on altering clipboards. The only thing was, I didn’t have a way to display them other than hanging them on the wall which wasn’t always appropriate.
My husband seeing I needed something for them designed a stand for me to use. It’s made from pine with a groove in the center to hold the clipboard at about a 15 degree angle. The edges are routered for a finished look.

The one pictured above is stained to match it’s clipboard below. Angela Chapman made this clipboard for me in a swap I participated in.

I am really into altering clipboards. I love the way they look and the many uses for them. Below are some I made for Christmas gifts this year. Everyone really seemed to enjoy them.
For my sister I made a Message center one:

For my nieces…Vanity Mirrors and Jewelry Stands:

For the others I made mini scrapbook page clipboards:
