My in-laws are renovating their kitchen and had some scrap melamine hanging around. I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to snatch it. My father in law cut to size for me as well. They were using it to line the shelves and drawers, so I decided, I would use it for book covers and today I used it for the backing to my 2010 Wall Calendar.
I used Stampin Up’s Pattern Pack II for the background paper. The calendar and phrase was printed and cut from my Silhouette SD machine. I added primas and rhinestones as embellishments. Then I added ribbon as the hanger.
I made this altered box to hold greeting cards. It’s covered in patterned paper and I used foil tape to cover the edges. Here are the cards I included in the box.
For Christmas one year I made my niece a games and notes book. It had a memory game, tic tac toe, and some notecards.
I picked put these cute paint your self signs at the $1 Store and couldn’t wait to alter them.
I made this sign for my new niece that is arriving at the end of the month. It matches her baby book I am putting together. Her name is going to be Jaymee Grow. I hope my sister loves it!!!
I used Stampin up DSP Cottage Wall and ribbon, Twinkle Type letters, Prima flowers and a Love charm.
Stay tuned for the rest of the altered signs I did. I will post them next week.

My older sister is having a baby and asked me to make the baby book. She isn’t into pink so I choose this wonderful stampin up line of shades of purples and greens. Love the colors. She wanted something simple and easy to update. Here’s a sneak peek… I will post the completed book soon.
I love the way it’s turning out. Can’t wait to finish.
Here is the stampin’ up papers I am using… Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper, Rich Razzelberry and Old Olive cardstock.

Paint can’s are fun to decorate and fill with goodies.
I used a small clear paint can to decorate with summer colors and prima flowers. A fun glittery card to match as well.

What a fun challenge this swap turned out to be. You had to spend $5 on supplies and then create something fun. Check out these awesome photos.
In one of the photos you will see the final project with all the supplies to create it. It’s fun to see the raw materials and how it turned out. Enjoy.
I found some instructions to make a Stationary Box by Jackie Topa. It’s amazing and so easy to do. Here are the photos of mine. All papers are from Club Scrap. It has a compartment for cards, notecards, tags, address book, stamps and I found these mini pens at Staples and they are the perfect size. I can’t wait to make more. I made this for a very special Auntie of mine, I am so glad it made her day!!!
If you would like to try it yourself download the pdf here.

For my birthday I got a bind-it-all at a great price thanks to one of my swapping buddies. It’s so easy to use and I love all the things you can do with it. I made three books today and love them. For one of the books I added mini paper bags with tags. So cute!!!
